Pep Boys has coupons all the time for oil changes, but rebates are not as often. For at least October, you can combine both to get a low cost oil change.

Pep Boys offers online rebate submission with instant pre-validation (as receipts are already in the system).

October coupons found here:
(19.99 conventional)
http://www.pepboys.com/sale_specials/coupons/1999pbyoc_promo_october2015
(19.99 conventional and $ 20 synthetic discount)

Don’t use the coupon promoted with the rebates! (I won’t even link to it.)

Submit rebate here: http://www.pepboys.com/rebates
The system will automatically detect matching offers to receipts. I suggest you submit rebates the next day after the service to allow receipts to get uploaded to the system beforehand

Here are the oil change choices:
Conventional (don’t pick oil brand) – usually 31.99
-Includes checking tire pressure along with oil change
-No longer includes tire rotation (extra charge)
-Free battery test or check engine light code is only upon request
$ 19.99 price with coupon
$ 10.00 rebate (limit two – http://img.rewardpromo.com/1/4300/11136.pdf)
Net: $ 9.99 plus applicable tax or fees.

Castrol or Penzoil Synthetic – usually 69.99
-Includes tire rotation
$ 49.99 price with coupon
$ 20.00 rebate (Castrol limit two – http://img.rewardpromo.com/1/4273/10945.pdf)
Net: $ 29.99 plus applicable tax and fees.(Penzoil version separate limit two – http://img.rewardpromo.com/1/4201/10776.pdf)

If you are trying to max a rebate type (such as two conventional changes or two Castrol Synthetic), you should get both done first (separate receipts are okay), then submit them together for one submission (website allows multiple receipts).

In some states, if Pep Boys charges tax, they will refund the tax as these are considered store rebates.
The Penzoil synthetic might work until December, but it depends if a store coupon is offered in November or December.
